A refractometer measures the coffee particles in your brew, giving you an objective reading of concentration, strength, and extraction. While cup quality is paramount, the ability to measure extraction is extremely useful for maximizing your brew, and also allows us to more effectively help you troubleshoot from afar.

We have tested these units extensively, and have found them to be intuitive and reliable.
